This modern house maximizes protection especially from seaside winds with a protected courtyard back. It has an open plan living and kitchen with a bedroom wing located beyond the house outdoor space. The rough limestone is used on garden walls while the rammed limestone for the external walls. This material is a popular and readily available local material, a perfect material for the retired-couple house.

With its design, construction, and materials, this house has won the AIA Marshal Clifton Award in 2010.
