These rental houses sit in the area of Denenchofu 1 chome, Tokyo. Denenchofu Terrace Houses are rental properties designed by Community Housing LLC that completed in August 2008 with 320 m2 in size. A mirrored plan is chosen for these houses to optimes the natural light conditions and the accessibility.
Design
These rental houses are facing a private road in a residential suburb. Besides optimizing natural light conditions, a mirrored plan is also chosen to optimize the accessibility to the lot with an L shape. This way makes the interiors of the houses brighter and pleasant.
Exterior and Interior
There is an exterior parking area that has a double function as an expansion area where cars aren’t parked. The layout for these houses’ interior is designed for flexibility and also easy division, especially for the social spaces. This layout also can define a clear service core for the houses’ floors.
Materials
The expression and selection of the finishing material aim to build approachable and warm spaces inside these rental houses. This material can give a unique character and warm atmosphere of wooden houses into this project.
