Subtracted from pure matter, smoothed to an object full of grace and geometric gravity, House Between The Pine Forest by Fran Silvestre Arquitectos in the province of Valencia reconfigures parts of a pre-existing plant of 722.32 m² constructed area.
The overall concept was then transformed several times to meet the needs of the family that has always lived there. In harmony with the environment that surrounds it, the new configuration builds a relationship between inside and outside whose balance evokes the traditional Mediterranean composition.
The space enclosed in the volume houses the various domestic functions. On the ground floor that is projected outside, the leisure areas such as the swimming pool, the barbecue area, the jacuzzi are located.
This volume communicates flawlessly with the central core of the house thanks to the paths and the homogeneous use of materials.
With the exception of some furnishing elements, the same arboreal essence present in the context. The white of the marble coverings and plasters obsessively. It also permeates the volumes, restoring an expanded space, and even plotted to get more intense by an unpredictable rhythm of floors and different heights.
The sliding of the block that contains the upper level is separated from the ground floor by a line of shadow engraved in the material.
Meanwhile, the overhang contains a terrace extending over the main entrance and a large window acts as a filter between the outside and the rooms that occupy the floor.
While the large openings empty the walls making the permeability with the surroundings even stronger, the residual spaces, create separation surfaces between one block and another.
The range becomes private areas of rest or contemplation and is treated with the same material essentiality that characterizes the interior.
In this way, the resident manages to make the entire built surface usable. Each area becomes practical and welcoming and the risk of elegance as an end in itself is never felt.
House Between The Pine Forest, in fact, like other works by Fran Silvestre, is part of expressive research that aims at the beauty of the built object intended as a consequence of a logical and current process, devoid of stylistic forcing and always open to dialogue with the surrounding landscape.
