With 300 m2 in size, the clearly zones spaces in Oozone are defined by Community Housing LLC. Completed in March 2008, this private residence located in the area of Oozone in Nagoya, Aichi prefecture. The interior layout of this house is also divided into two: served areas and serving areas.
Design
This awesome house sits in a mixed-use area without a clear character that makes it has no identity. Through this project, the architect tries to define the house space through the use of a volume of simple lines. Clearly zoned spaces are also used to divide each space based on its function for daily living.
Interior
The layout of this house interior divides the served areas and serving areas. This layout also gradates the privacy level of this house based on the distance to the nearby street. On three floors, those areas are placed and also connected by wooden staircases.
Materials
The architect also chooses the material carefully to compose a palette of colors and textures where enclosure walls, anti-seismic structure, and also apertures can reach their own level to express different characters. The result is a comfortable house where colors and textures are combined to beautify both inside and outside parts of the house.
