Designed by Jost Architects, this renovation project of an existing “off the shelf” Australian steel shed. The Über Shed 02 is located on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria and it is simply too new to be demolished. In order to complete this project, an addition is created which provides greater functionality and resulting in an idyllic rural retreat.
Built only 4 years earlier, the existing shed had limited functionality and lacked aesthetic appeal for the brief of the project. The client needs more space to display and store their lot of prized eclectic possessions such as an Airstream bus and WWII army jeeps. This shed is also designed to provide the best place to store these prized eclectic possessions.
Based on its history, this shed is too new to be demolished so the architect creates an addition. This addition can meet the project brief perfectly which is yet contemporary. Using this addition, the shed also can provide greater functionality for the client, especially for their many prized eclectic possessions.
The result of this awesome project is a shed that transformed into a living place and also storage to keep many prized eclectic possessions. It also becomes an idyllic rural retreat for the client where they can enjoy the rural view and the landscape, escaping from the busy activities and busy cities.
