As one of the models that are being offered in the eighth generation 911, the Porsche 911 Targa has a lot in common with other models that were first launched from 1967.

The 2021 Porsche 911 Targa returns a classic 911 design combined with modern elements. The classic side is visible from the two straight lines on the front trunk hood inspired by the 911 generation 901.

The car is equipped with Porsche Matrix LED headlamps embedded with Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS Plus) technology. Besides, there is also air intake on the front bumper, which can close automatically at 70 km / h.

There is a Targa Bar installed in Pillar-B with a very iconic silver finish. There are also some futuristic touches, one of which is an electric door handle that has a pop-up mechanism.

Moving on to the rear, the futuristic aura of the Porsche 911 Targa is completed with LED Strip taillights that extend along both sides, as well as the Porsche emblem with 3D effects.

In the dashboard layout, Porsche designers returned the old 911 concept to the Targa model. The approach can be seen from the curve of the upper dashboard which looked indented. The displays trim details on the dashboard and a 10.9-inch screen for PCM (Porsche Communication Management).

Turning to the driver’s side, the most striking thing is the use of the five-dial cluster instrument design which is divided into two models. Tachometer still uses the analog model, while the other four dials are for the clock, speedometer, and MID Sat-Nav.

Everything is packed on a 7-inch virtual screen on the left and right of the tachometer. The 2021 Porsche 911 Targa also adopts the Porsche Advanced Cockpit control which simplifies the car’s controller.

The Porsche 911 Targa uses a flat-6 3.0 L twin-turbo engine which is placed directly behind the rear axle. For the Targa 4 variant, the engine is set with 380 HP and 450 Nm of torque, while for the 4S variant the power is higher, 444 HP with 530 Nm of torque.

The power is channeled to the four-wheel-drive system via an 8-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission. The resulting performance is pretty dope as Targa 4 can accelerate from 0-100 km / h in 4.4 seconds with a speed of 289 km / h. While the 4S variant can accelerate from 0-100 km / h in 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 302 km / h.
