Vans, which has been designing shoes specifically for skateboarding, has begun to expand its business focus. Recently, the company designed a lifestyle sneaker called the EVDNT UltimateWaffle.
Concept
The shoe manufacturer from California claims the launch of the EVDNT UltimateWaffle is a significant innovation in lifestyle footwear. According to Vans, the company took advantage of its experience in creating fashion for skater shoe technology.
This technology is then combined with the UltimateWaffle design to produce a lifestyle shoe that is suitable for everyday wear.
The upper of the UltimateWaffle shoe uses a knit mesh material. The use of these materials is intended to make these shoes look right when worn with everyday clothes. Vans embeds LuxLiner technology to support the comfort of the user’s feet.
This new silhouette presents a sharper look than the classic models, although versatile enough to be combined with any garment, even a casual one. While its UltimateWaffle construction makes it a comfortable shoe for any occasion
Design
The design that stands out from the UltimateWaffle is the UltraCush insole which features a shank and a support system between the midsole and outsole. The insole is there to provide cushioning and support for the foot. Finally, the outsole is made transparent or see-through.
For the initial release, the EVDNT UltimateWaffle offers an energetic color scheme in shades of blue and gray, neutral enough to be versatile but bold enough to stand out from the crowd. An asymmetrical perforated leather instep and the inverted version of Vans’ iconic Sidestripe give this footwear a unique appeal. For its part, the translucent sole makes it a natural spectacle.
