Claudio Saverino, Tiziano Vudafieri Nunzia Carbone, and Vudafieri-Saverino Partners work together to design this private holiday home. Villa Tretes is located in Surabaya, Indonesia, and completed in 2004. The construction with some specific methods has been applied to this villa without losing sight of its contemporary architectural style.
Design
It is a private holiday home that sits in the mountains, situated amidst a forested area. The Chinese culture of the owner proposes that the general layout is based on traditional architecture. This layout is also related to orographic levels, creating water and land patios.
Structure
For the construction, the ancient methods of local builders and carpenters have been applied to this villa without losing sight of its contemporary architectural style. The combination of this method and these styles can create a unique appearance and also a comfortable place for a pleasant holiday.
Details
Water elements dominate this villa to bring a natural atmosphere both inside and outside. A small pond beautified with an antique statue can be found inside the villa while the infinite pool can be enjoyed outside the villa with an unobstructed view of the sky and mountain.
