A master suite in the roof space of an Arts and Crafts era house is created in this extensive alterations and additions project. The house structure is rebuilt with new windows facing Gordons Bay and an expressed collar. There is also a sculptural staircase that added to connect the house’s new space in a different style but complements the details.

A new living area is designed with an expressed dark, plaster and also large glass doors. This way makes this area in contrast to the arts and craft era rooms. The architect also connects the new rooms visually by introducing a series of aligning openings throughout the old house space. It takes everyone’s eyes through to the beautiful water view.

The modern interior of this house is a combination of a contrasting color: black and white. These colors come in many interior elements of the house such as furniture, wall paint, and also decoration. The combination of these colors also makes the house both modern and elegant.
