Located in n Zandvoort, this new fire station is home to the Rescue Brigade and the fire brigade. Fire Station Zandvoort is designed by Jeanne Dekkers Architectuur and completed in 2013 with 2.400 m² in size. This fire station can answer the different aspirations and expectations and the uniqueness of the site, resulting in a building with a high-quality design.
Functions
All vehicles and vessels of the rescue team and fire brigade will be housed in the station. When the busy summer period comes, an ambulance will be also parked inside the building. This station is located at the junction of Linnaeusstraat / Kamerlingh Onnestraat in Nieuw Noord on the edge of the cemetery, near the bike path and train tracks.
Design
This new fire station building is an ideal answer to the different aspirations and expectations and the uniqueness of the site. The result of this answer is a building with high originality, quality, and also natural elegance that accommodate the fire brigade and the Rescue Brigade well.
Structure
The protruding head of the building can express the vitality of the various functions, housing the clean functions with a transparent vehicle exit. All elements of the design are laid in a dune sand-colored brick in a horizontal alignment of the building structure.
