Olympus has just officially announced the presence of the latest OM-D E-M1X series cameras. The camera with compact and lightweight interchangeable lenses produces high-quality images that meet Micro Four Thirds System standards.

Based on the OM-D series, the OM-D E-M1X camera makes a technological leap that goes beyond DSLRs while bringing portability and image quality to the next dimension. With integrated vertical grip construction, this professional camera offers safe holding and high operability.

This camera is claimed to be more perfect when paired with a range of M.Zuiko PRO lenses that show true capabilities where portability becomes very important, as in sports and wildlife photography.

The Olympus OM-D E-M1X camera is equipped with the latest 5-axis Image Stabilization that offers the best compensation performance in its class for 4K images and films. The new gyro sensor OM-D E-M1X allows 5-axis sync IS, which provides a maximum shutter speed (shutter speed) of up to 7.0 steps of compensation performance when using the body itself.

Whereas when combined with the M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-100mm F4.0 IS PRO lens, it can produce the highest shutter speed compensation in the world around 7.5 steps. This feature allows handheld shooting at a lower shutter speed, which is suitable for night and indoor shooting.

In addition, a powerful 5-axis image stabilizer (IS) and electronic stabilization (ES) redefines the recording of 4K and 4K cinematic handhelds. The image stabilization effect can be selected from three levels depending on the photographer’s posture and movement.

With OM-Log400 shooting supporting OM-D E-M1X, videographers can take pictures without losing detail in shadows and highlights, blowouts. As well as facilitating color grading that is more flexible through a computer.

In addition to images with a maximum ultra-high resolution of 80M that can be captured in High Resolution Shooting (High Res Shot) using a tripod (50M Handheld High Res Shot / without the tripod), because of the many requests from landscape photographers, Handheld High Resolution Shooting is now available on OM- D E-M1X.

This feature is very useful for capturing high definition shots in locations that are not possible to use a tripod, such as when moving from one place to another while hiking.

This camera is also equipped with a dual processor that allows faster start-up time and recovery from sleep mode. The camera also supports two high-speed UHS-II SD card slots for overall high-speed responsiveness.

Intelligent Subject Detection AF is deep learning, a type of Artificial Intelligence (AI), used to develop algorithms in this function. It detects three different types of subjects, including motorsports, airplanes, and trains, with optimal focus and tracking area.

The camera’s resistance is also enhanced so that it is resistant to all weather. The E-M1X OM-D has been through stricter spark-resistant tests and was developed for shooting in extreme conditions that are often encountered by professional photographers.

Dustproof, splash-resistant and freezing (-10 ° C) performance is maintained, even when connected to a remote cable, a microphone and a headphone jack, allowing shooting that is not affected by the weather.

This camera is also equipped with a built-in Field Sensor and GPS System. Where the OM-D E-M1X has a built-in GPS sensor, temperature sensor, manometer, and compass, which are collectively known as ‘field sensors’.

In addition to location information such as longitude and latitude, this sensor detects and records the camera’s temperature, altitude, and direction to add detailed shooting information to the image. With the highest echelon of features, this camera’s price tag is also on the higher level which is around $2,999.99
