The Peugeot E-2008 SUV was officially launched at the Guangzhou Auto Show 2019. The electric SUV that was presented to the public for the first time packed with an attractive appearance and a series of advanced features.
Design-wise, the front looks expressive as the carmaker applying three claw faces to the LED. Similarly, on the underside which presents Daytime Running Lights (DRL) like fangs.
This particular model is also packed with a sporty vibe. Sure enough, try the shape of the roof uses the color of Black Diamond so that it displays the Two-Tone design.
The shape was deliberately designed so that they feel as Urban SUV can increasingly go thicker. Other interesting things are the tire choice where Peugeot chooses a large 18 inches size.
The rear body is just perfect with the taillights which also implement three LED-based claws. The shape certainly goes in harmony as in the headlights. Uniqueness is also observed on the side of the bumper that is made more masculine and nicely decorated with two Chrome Exhaust.
Peugeot E-2008 SUV is Peugeot’s first battery-based electric vehicle (BEV) car in the Chinese market. Peugeot E-2008 has been equipped with advanced technology, namely PEUGEOT 3D i-Cockpit.
The tech invites the driver to discover the digital world 100%. Equipped with an 8-inch touch screen and a 10-inch digital head-up screen that can be adjusted with a compact steering wheel and integrated controls plus an automatic electric gearbox.
The design of the car was developed through the Common Modular Platform (CMP) in collaboration with Dongfeng. The Peugeot e-2008 SUV is equipped with an electric motor with 136 hp and 260 Nm of torque with a 50 kWh battery.
The engine is capable to roam up to 310 kilometers based on WLTP (World harmonized Light-duty vehicles Test Procedure) or in accordance with global standards that determine the level of pollutants, CO2 emissions and fuel consumption for conventional cars, hybrids, and electricity. And 430 kilometers based on the NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) method.
The E-2008 SUV can charge 100kW quickly, for 80 percent in only 30 minutes. Meanwhile, the charging process with 7.4kW will take 7.5 hours.
The All-New Peugeot e-2008 has already available since the end of 2019. The all-electric e-2008 is priced from £28,150 to £34,275 according to specs.
