Nissan took advantage of the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to launch the Nissan LEAF e +. The latest variant of the Nissan LEAF electric car offers greater power and a longer travel range. According to Nissan Global’s official page, the addition of the ‘e +’ label on this new variant refers to the increase in battery energy package density from the previous 192 cells to 288 cells although physically, it is still the same size as the ordinary Nissan LEAF but with higher powertrain output. In terms of design, the Nissan LEAF e + still carries on the same design as the Nissan LEAF. What shows as a plus variant is a front fascia with blue highlights, the plate with the logo ‘e +’ under the filling port cover and the emblem PLUS on the back of the car.

Futuristic, modern and highly functional impressions are also displayed in the interior. Bright blue contrast stitches for the steering wheel, seat and door trim accentuate the Nissan electric vehicle vision for the future.

In addition to appearing at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Nissan LEAF e + is also on display at the Nissan global gallery in Yokohama, Japan. It is scheduled that a new variant of Nissan LEAF electric car has been distributed to Nissan dealers in Japan at the end of January 2019 to be marketed starting in this spring or early March 2019. Meanwhile, sales in Europe will begin in mid-2019.

Nissan LEAF is an electric car that is quite reliable. In terms of sales, although not as big as the Tesla Series, Nissan LEAF was able to enter the ranks of the top 10 best-selling electric cars in the United States with sales of 14,715 units.
